Who we are

What data we collect

We collect only the data you provide to us and the minimum technical data needed to run the site securely:

• Contact and quote requests: your name, company, email address, phone number, and the shipment or service details you enter into our quote form or send us by email.
• Technical data: your IP address and basic request information, kept in server logs for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
• A single session cookie required for the security of our forms (see our Cookie Policy).
• WhatsApp messages: if you choose to contact us through the WhatsApp link on our site, we receive your phone number, the name and profile picture shown by WhatsApp, and the content of your messages.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To respond to your quote or contact request and provide the services you ask for — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to, or in performance of, a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep our website and forms secure — legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To comply with legal, tax, and customs obligations where a business relationship follows — legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

How long we keep it

Quote and contact submissions are kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, after which they are deleted automatically. Where an enquiry becomes a booking, the related records are kept for as long as the commercial relationship lasts and thereafter for the periods required by Romanian accounting, tax and customs law.

Server logs and abuse-prevention records containing IP addresses are kept for a short period only and are pruned automatically.

Who we share it with

We share your data only where necessary to provide the service you requested — for example with carriers, customs authorities, port operators, or other subcontractors involved in your shipment — and with our IT/hosting provider acting on our behalf. We may disclose data where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Messaging us on WhatsApp

WhatsApp is operated in Europe by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. If you message us there, that conversation passes through Meta's service and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms as well as ours; Meta may transfer data to the United States under its own safeguards. We use WhatsApp only to answer enquiries you start — we do not send marketing messages and we do not add your number to any list.

Our legal basis is the same as for any other enquiry: steps taken at your request before entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email and telephone reach the same people.

International transfers

Where a shipment or service requires it, your data may be transferred to partners outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognized under the GDPR (such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data; to rectify inaccurate data; to erase data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at office@dts-logistic.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), a strict content-security policy, protection against automated abuse of our forms, and access controls on our systems.
